Roland  is a graduate of The Pacific Conservatory For The Performing Arts (PCPA) and The Los Angeles County High School For the Arts. He has been a guest lecturer at UCLA's Ray Bolger Musical Theatre Program, teaches privately and recently directed  BAT BOY, The Musical at The Funhouse Lounge, in Portland, Or. As a performer he is best know for his work in The Broadway and Toronto Companies of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, -directed by Hal Prince many productions of  SWEENEY TODD - also directed by Hal Prince, including one at  State Theatre (now the David H. Koch Theatre)at Lincoln Center For The Performing Art in New York City,  another at The Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles,  also Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre and at Sacramento Music Circus, as well as several others- Seven in total so far! Other New York appearances include; A CHRISTMAS CAROL at Madison Square Garden, Directed by Mike Ockrent, Choreographed by Susan Stroman and adapted by Lynn Ahrens and Alan Menkin.  JERRY SPRINGER, The Opera, In Concert, at Carnegie Hall directed by Jason Moore. KISMET at City Center. in New York. THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER at The Lambs Theatre, Off-Broadway. As well as Rodgers and Hammerstein's CINDERELLA  and THE MOST HAPPY FELLA with New York City Opera at Lincoln Center's State Theatre. Roland has appeared in the First National Tours of THE ADDAMS FAMILY,A New Musical, and KISS ME KATE. His regional theatre appearances include, LEND ME A TENOR at Bay Street Theatre. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF at Portland Center Stage, LIMELIGHT, The Story Of Charlie Chaplin at The La Jolla Playhouse (later CHAPLIN on Broadway), GUYS & DOLLS at Maine State Music Theatre and Music Theatre of San Jose, OLIVER at Sacramento Music Circus, CANDIDE at The Ahmanson Theatre,- directed by Gordon Davidson the American premiere of  A SAINT SHE AIN'T at Westport Country Playhouse and The Berkshire Theatre Festival, SIDE SHOW at The Cleveland Playhouse,  just to name a few. Roland got his Actors's Equity card with the world premiere of FLORINDA at The Freud Theatre in Los Angeles, (later LA CAVA in London) written by Laurence O'Keefe (composer of Bat Boy, Legally Blonde the musical and Heathers the musical) and produced by Dana and Albert J. Broccoli- producers of the James Bond Films. On film he has appeared in  the remake of THE PRODUCERS as Jack " A Wandring Minstrel I" Lapidus, You can also find him in the indie feature film BEARCITY and the short, A MAGIC HELMET. His TV appearances include features on GUIDING LIGHT, FROM BROADWAY WITH LOVE  and two appearances on THE MACY'S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE. He can be heard on the original recording of A TALE OF TWO CITIES the musical, and THE PRODUCERS soundtrack recording. He has been a member of Actor's Equity Association for over Twenty Years.
